Come on, Dover
We live and work near two major horse racing tracks. The Doomben Track is just around the corner from our flat and the Eagle Farms Race Track is down the street from the Mission Office.
Today we could hear the announcers from the Doomben track, so knew the races were on. I have been told that the ladies dress up in fancy dress and elaborate hats to go to the races and the men are all in suits and ties. We wanted to see the sights, so set out, camera in hand. All the approaching roads were blocked off and people parked wherever they could. (You probably will be able to tell the difference, but some pictures we "borrowed" from the Doomben Racing Club internet page. They are more close up and personal. The pictures outside the gates we took ourselves.) We were dressed in our best missionary attire, skirts and tops, but still felt quite plebeian in comparison with those coming to the races.
